The fourth International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Athletes’ Forum will take place from 24–26 June 2025 in Bonn and Duisburg, Germany, bringing together athlete representatives from across the Paralympic Movement. The event will serve as a key platform for sharing experiences, addressing athlete issues, and networking.
Day one will be held at the IPC’s new headquarters in Bonn, coinciding with the official opening of the new IPC Campus, one of Germany’s most accessible office spaces. Days two and three will be hosted at Sportschule Wedau in Duisburg, the venue of the inaugural 2017 Forum.
Participants will include representatives from National Paralympic Committees, International Federations, Regional Organisations, and other sport-related bodies, as well as the IPC Athletes’ Council, Governing Board, and management. This year marks the first meeting with the newly elected IPC Athletes’ Council, following elections at Paris 2024 and November 2024.
IPC CEO and two-time Paralympian Dr. Mike Peters said: “We look forward to welcoming athlete leaders from around the world. This Forum will celebrate our new IPC home and strengthen the role of athletes in driving change beyond sport.”
Newly elected Council Chair Vladyslava Kravchenko added: “The Forum is an important opportunity to connect, exchange ideas, and support each other—whether from established or emerging Paralympic nations. We want every athlete to leave more informed and empowered.”
To support broad participation, the IPC will also provide a Solidarity Programme, helping more athletes join these crucial conversations.
Previous forums were held in Duisburg (2017), Colorado Springs (2019), and Icheon, Korea (2023).
