London, 21 December 2025 — Austrian rider Max Kühner produced a standout performance at the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ at the London International Horse Show, riding EIC Cooley Jump The Q to a decisive victory and becoming the first Austrian to win the class since 1989.
On Alan Wade’s demanding course, only five of the 37 starters advanced to the jump-off, underlining the difficulty of the track. Kühner delivered a composed and efficient jump-off round, overtaking British challenger Donald Whitaker by more than a second to secure the win.
Speaking after his ride, Kühner highlighted the strong partnership with his horse, describing the jump-off as feeling “like we were floating.” The win also marked a positive conclusion to a challenging season.
Great Britain’s Donald Whitaker partnered Milfield Colette to take second place, while Ireland’s Cian O’Connor and Chatoulinue PS completed the podium in third after a steady clear round.
