Bruce Mouat's men's curling rink claimed Team GB's first medal of the Olympic Winter Games in Beijing by winning silver after narrowly losing 5-4 to Sweden in the gold medal match. Mouat, Bobby Lammie, Grant Hardie, Hammy McMillan Jr and alternate Ross Whyte matched the feat achieved by coach David Murdoch at Sochi 2014, the last medal won by Team GB's male curlers. Team Mouat topped the round robin stage and had a terrific week in the Ice Cube, coming into the final off the back of eight consecutive wins.

Team GB's pilot Mica McNeill and Montell Douglas after they finished 17th in the 2-woman bobsleigh. McNeill and Douglas were 19th after the first two heats but jumped up two places following the final two runs at the Yanqing National Sliding Centre today. They finished with a final time of 4:08.85 and their final run was their quickest in 1:02.14, after which Douglas announced her retirement at the age of 36.
