China and Japan Set Up Double Finals Clash at Centennial World Championships

The semi-finals of the 2026 ITTF World Team Championships Finals in London concluded with China and Japan advancing to both the men’s and women’s finals, setting up a blockbuster double showdown at OVO Arena Wembley.


In the women’s event, Japan swept Germany 3-0, while China defeated Romania 3-0 behind strong performances from Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu and Kuai Man.


Japan’s men also cruised into the final with a 3-0 win over Chinese Taipei. China, however, survived a dramatic battle against France, winning 3-1 after Liang Jingkun’s stunning comeback from 0-2 down and Wang Chuqin’s crucial second victory of the night.

11:00 Women’s Final: China vs Japan

16:00 Men’s Final: Japan vs China


At the centennial World Championships in London, the ultimate China-Japan showdown is now set.
