The first ten athletes who will compete for Team GB at the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games have been announced today, with a little over six months to go before the Games return to Europe.
Ten curlers have been named to represent the nation in the men’s, women’s, and mixed doubles disciplines at the Games, which take place between 6-22 February 2026.
Beijing 2022 Olympic silver medallist Bruce Mouat will once again skip the men’s rink, and his team will be confident going into the Games after dominant season which saw them win a second World Championship title and become the first-ever rink to win four Grand Slam titles in a single season.
Mouat and his fellow Olympic silver medallists Grant Hardie, Bobby Lammie and Hammy McMillan are joined by PyeongChang 2018 Olympian Kyle Waddell as alternate, completing the experienced line up.
In the mixed doubles Mouat will be joined by Olympic Champion Jennifer Dodds. The pair became the first British curlers to compete in two disciplines at the same Olympics when they partnered to make Team GB’s debut in the mixed doubles event in Beijing 2022, where they finished just outside of the medal placings in fourth.
Two-time European bronze medallists, Team Morrison, take over the Olympic reins from Team Muirhead in the women’s competition as they make their Olympic bow at the Cortina Olympic Stadium next February. Rebecca Morrison is joined by Sophie Jackson as skip, the returning Dodds, Sophie Sinclair, and Fay Henderson as alternate.
Team GB Chef de Mission and Olympic Champion skip, Eve Muirhead, said: “Announcing the first athletes selected to Team GB for my first Games as Chef de Mission is an extremely proud moment. It is even more special for me that it is athletes from my sport of curling.
