Men’s World Champion Bruce Mouat and Olympic gold medallist Jen Dodds made their first overseas appearance of the season this week at the Geneva Mixed Doubles Invitational, sharpening their form for competing in two disciplines at next year’s Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.
Mouat’s men’s team recently captured the Grand Slam Tour Challenge title to retain their world-leading status, while Dodds and her women’s teammates continue climbing the world rankings, aiming to defend their national title. The duo reached multiple mixed doubles finals last season, earning their Olympic berth.
Having won their only event so far this season — the Stirling Mixed Doubles Invitational at the National Curling Academy — Dodds said, “Playing with Bruce always brings out our best. Geneva’s top-class field makes for perfect Olympic preparation.”
Mouat added, “Next up are events in Lake Tahoe, Gothenburg, and Tallinn — all key steps before the Games.”
With just 100 days to go before the Winter Olympics, this golden pair are pushing hard, determined to make history again in Cortina.
