Team nominations announced for Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals 2021

The ITF has today announced the nominations for the 12 teams competing to be crowned champions at the Billie Jean King Cup by BNP Paribas Finals in Prague from 1-6 November 2021. No. 1 seeds and defending champions France will have three of their 2019 winning team with Caroline Garcia, Alize Cornet and Fiona Ferro among the players named by captain Julien Benneteau, as they bid to defend their title. Czech Republic will be looking to build on their success at Tokyo 2020, with medallists Barbora Krejcikova, Marketa Vondrousova and Katerina Siniakova all named in the Czech team bidding to be crowned champions on home soil. Olympic singles gold medallist Belinda Bencic will lead the Swiss team while mixed doubles gold medallist Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova headlines a strong Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) team. Grand Slam singles champions Garbine Muguruza, Victoria Azarenka, Angelique Kerber and Sloane Stephens are also named to compete for their respective nations.
