Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Husain Al Musallam attends 26th AIPS Asia Congress

HONG KONG, July 5, 2025 - The Director General of the Olympic Council of Asia, Husain Al Musallam, attended the 26th AIPS Asia Congress 2025 in Hong Kong, China.

Al Musallam, who is also President of World Aquatics, visited on the significant date which is annually celebrated as World Sports Journalist Day by AIPS.

This day recognises the contribution of sports journalists worldwide and encourages them to continue their work effectively. It also highlights the role of sports journalism in promoting sports and fostering peace.

"Happy Birthday to AIPS and AIPS Asia. I congratulate you for supporting the growth of sports not only in Asia but the world at large. Thanks to Hong Kong that has organized this celebration, we also pledge to continue supporting you," The Director General of the OCA, Husain Al Musallam said

The AIPS Asia Congress, which began on June 30 and ended on Friday, July 4, was attended by more than 100 media representatives from 30 countries and regions across Asia.
