Countrymen Aslan Karatsev and 2018 Moscow titlist Karen Khachanov are also in action, as they attempt to continue Russian success at the ATP 250. Since 1990, the tournament singles champion has been Russian 16 times.

Two-time Moscow winner Marin Cilic, fourth seed Filip Krajinovic, Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik and Winston-Salem champion Ilya Ivashka are also among the players to watch.
