On April 23, the World Snooker Championship entered its fifth day at the Crucible Theatre, with four spots in the last 16 to be decided. Multiple seeded players are scheduled to play, and the latest match schedule has been released.

Shaun Murphy, facing Daniel Wells in the first round, leads 7–2 after the opening session. The second session resumes at 5:00 p.m. today, with Murphy in a strong position to advance.

Judd Trump currently holds a 6–3 lead over China’s Zhou Yuelong, with the match still open ahead of the concluding session.

In the all-Chinese clash between Zhang Anda and Pang Junxu, Zhang leads 5–3. The match remains competitive, with both players still in contention.

After a break from recent events, Ronnie O’Sullivan has returned to the Crucible and leads Ali Carter 5–4 following the first session. The outcome remains uncertain.

Mark Selby will make his tournament debut today against Ben Woollaston. Selby has already won three ranking titles this season, including the UK Championship, Championship League, and Welsh Open.

Defending world champion Luca Brecel begins his match against four-time ranking event winner Ryan Day tonight at 9:30 p.m., with the first session set to begin.
